Specifically I only want pages 25 and 26 from this strategy guide, because they are missing from mine, but I'd love to download the whole book as a backup if someone has it already. Otherwise if someone could just scan those two pages, that would be great. I plan on printing them and just inserting them into the book. It's the only strategy guide I ever bought, and for some reason or another it has sentimental value. I actually plan on playing through FF7 for the 7th time, after not touching it for 4-5 years, mostly due to this selection of PC improvements:

Anyways here's the book:
Also it seems there's a torrent for this over at this site but I don't have an account there. Maybe one of you guys do?

Holy cow -- $60?
Have you seen it cheaper elsewhere?
BTW, the PC upgrades look cool, but I like the original screen with the character portraits than the new ones.
The new shots look like quick crops from the FVII sequel/movie thing. Doesn't fit the style.

I have no idea, but the guy asking $60 is describing the condition as if he's selling mine, because mine is in terrible shape after 10 years. I also let a stoner borrow it long ago and he returned it to me as if he tried to smoke it. Portions of pages were burned through.racketboy wrote:Holy cow -- $60?

Versus Books
Versus Books was putting out some quality stuff back then, are they still around? It seems like too often the companies that put quality first don't make it.
I had their Street Fighter Alpha 2 strategy guide an sold it for $50 on eBay a few years ago. Loaded with amazing art. It seemed like a book put together by the most hard core gamers on earth.

Well, you can still run at 640x480 with anti aliasing. That provides a much nicer blend. I've also noticed that the backgrounds are not completely measuring up with 1280x960. They must not be preciesely 320x240, because I can see rows and columns of pixels that are too thin compared to neighboring rows and columns. You can see it in objects which should be in a strait line, like railing inside Shinra.lordofduct wrote:that patch is pretty interesting... I just don't like how the models are glaringly much more high resolution then the backgrounds. They should drop the render quality a little so it stays nice high poly, but doesn't stand out so badly over the terrain.
Thats one of the reasons why I really liked this book. A lot of personality here.alexkidd wrote:Versus Books was putting out some quality stuff back then, are they still around? It seems like too often the companies that put quality first don't make it.
Also, I scanned all the original artwork to be found in this book, before it truly started deteriorating. I could post them in a zip if anyone likes.
I used to have a Blackcats account but I must have been inactive too long...
