Inazuma you still didn't help, graphics mean very little to me. If you guys want to think its a failure go right ahead and I will think the opposite. Old technology doesn't mean its a failure, why was the commodore 64 the best seling computer if that the case. Why did the ps2 outsell the xbox and gamecube?

In no since of the word failure does it make since to direct it toward the wii. Just say I do not think the wii has great games and is behind the times. But then who cares what i think I like my CD-i and 3DO.

You don't understand...

Just ignore my post. I don't feel like trying to explain it again.

Inazuma, you are wrong.

I don't care to explain why. Just understand, it is the truth, and just the way the world works.

Have a good day.

This has always been the case. Nintendo's strategy has always been to take older, cheaper, well-understood technology to make video game consoles and handhelds. The difference this generation, in my opinion, is that major rivals are using substantially newer/shinier technology.
Systems: TI-99/4a, Commodore Vic-20, Atari 2600, NES, SMS, GB, Neo Geo MVS (Big Red 4-slot), Genesis, SNES, 3DO, PS1, N64, DC, PS2, GBA, GCN, NDSi, Wii

Can't they at least use the Wii's maximum power?
I think most games use like 50% of the Wii, they just take it as excuse, its no HD lets through crap in there no body minds

What is your evidence that they aren't using the maximum power? Does Wario Land Shake It use the full power? Should it use the full power?

maybe we can agree on this, the wii failed making motion control as good as the pre-release hype made it seem, but while failing to make motion controllers super precise there are some games that use it very well despite its capabilties. If thats where you coming from then I can understand.

I disagree. Dozens of shovel-ware authors with waggle syndrome isn't the Wii's fault.

Have a look at the shovelware crap coming out on PS2 at the moment. Nobody can argue that the PS2 is a failure, however.

I just want to note that I'm actually happy this thread isn't locked. Seriously.

This forum is better at sustaining a good video game discussion than it is a good political discussion :P
