Crazy stuff, that snow is!!!!
Re: Crazy stuff, that snow is!!!!
Well, out here we got about 1/36 of an inch last weekend. And I think that's about all we'll be seeing this year.

Yeah, I just talked to a friend and he is in the same situation that I was in, except he is in a much worse part of the interstate. He cant leave his car because he is too far to walk. He hasnt moved in 4 hours.
Also like me, he was on about 1/8th of a tank. He was on a trip though and that would have been enough to get him home. He has had to shut his car off to conserve gas and is now freezing to death with his dog in the car.
At least I was able to walk home, he is stuck in the car.
P.S. My wife made it home ok. Even though it took my brother 2 hours to travel 15 miles with her and he has a huge truck and snow chains.

Good thing it's summer here.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

Nope. You've clearly earned a -1 for the feedback thread. A good trader would have taken off their coat and shirt, wrapped them around the packages, and arrived at the post office with frostbite and BEFORE it closed. Why were you thinking of your wife and your self first instead of my package? Clearly your priorities are out of order!Frag Mortuus wrote:
So if you are one of the ones waiting on an item from me, I will mail them out as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience, but mother nature is being a bitch.

and if the post office closes because of the snow, you should hand deliver them across country like Santadsheinem wrote:Nope. You've clearly earned a -1 for the feedback thread. living in Colorado, snow is no news to me. I remember March of 2003. Snowed in (at the times I lived in the foothills) with around 4 feet of snow at the door. Fun stuff.

Re: Crazy stuff, that snow is!!!!
We got about a foot dumped on us here in NC and frankly it's hilarious.
Having lived and grown up in Jersey for 14 years makes it both hilarious and scary how unprepared people are for this down here. Honestly people, buy a 20lb bag of sand that will last you a few years and a shovel for around $10-$15 then just forget about them until you need them!
Oh and the roads are a freaking madhouse. People don't seem to understand that 35mph is the absolute cap on speed when it's coming down like crazy and the roads have no salt or sand on them along with not having been plowed at all. No one even seems to have a pair of chains or any other equipment for a car in the winter like windshield scrapers, seasonal snow tires, etc... which frankly is just ridiculous and irresponsible! And don't even get me started on how many cars I've seen on my street just not start due to a lack of anti-freeze or a bad battery.....

Oh, how I'd love to be in snow. I've only played in snow once, because the part of California I'm in doesn't get any snow at all. It's one of those wonders for me.
Of course, I'm as hell not playing in the snow storm you're in.

I remember back in about '05 we had around 5 or 6 feet of snow dumped on us in upstate NJ in about the course of 12 hours. It was fun as hell, school was closed for about three days, snowballs were plentiful and there was a ton of fresh untouched white stuff (The best kind.) left over for about a week or so to sled on and play with until it all stared getting dirtied up.
