Re: I want velcro shoes
Nike makes pretty stylish basketball shoes that are tight enough to walk around in without falling off. I have a few pairs of air force ones and they are really comfortable. New ones are kind of expensive but if you go to the trendy thrift store in your town you can probably find some used.

Re: I want velcro shoes
I never tie my shoes. They slip on and off just fine, and are plenty secure, without untying my laces.

This. The only time I have to tie my shoes is when I wear my dress shoes, since they have that specific type of shoestring that has absolutely no grip whatsoever and comes untied through normal walking.Hatta wrote:I never tie my shoes. I want the shoes from Back to the Future 2.
Re: I want velcro shoes
Doesn't matter so much since they probably cost about $5 a pair. Just buy a dozen and rotate.Limewater wrote:One of the biggest problems with velcro is that it just wears out. After you've fastened and unfastened your velcro shoes a hundred times, they just aren't going to stick as well as they once did, and may not stick well enough to hold up to the force caused by an adult walking briskly or running. If you're just going to shuffle around like a geriatric, they're fine.Inazuma wrote:I was thinking about shoes today and was wondering why we don't have velcro shoes for adults. It's annoying having to tie my laces everyday. Sometimes they can come undone or need to be replaced if they get damaged. It's just a hassle that I should never have to deal with, since a superior method exists. I haven't worn velcro shoes since I was a baby, so maybe there is some downside to them that I'm not aware of, but I can't figure out why someone would purposely choose an inferior product.

Yeah, Velcro shoes for adults really aren't hard to find. My neighbour wears them because his arthritis makes it too hard to tie shoe laces.

vans makes pretty nice slip on canvas top shoes...if youre looking for even less work than tightening those straps!
Re: I want velcro shoes
I hate velcro. It attracts lint like my ps3 does dust and fingerprints. THen you're stuck with this disgusting fluffy shit all in the velcro. Hair and cotton are like best friends with velcro.
