Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Nominate the Best Retro Games of 2009

Post by racketboy »

As the year draws to a close, lets take this time to reflect on the year's releases and nominate some of our retro favorites.

Here's the basic ground rules:
The game was released in 2009
It doesn't have to have 2D graphics, but a 2D perspective is usually a good rule of thumb.
It can be a compilation or a re-release (including download services)

I think that's pretty much it....
I look forward to see what games you guys enjoyed.

I will compile the results and we'll vote on them around New Years.

Thanks!

I'll have to nominate 'Splosion Man for sure! Very challenging platformer, and it was funny as hell!

R-Type: Dimensions was really good. I had a blast playing through R-Type I and II with the new graphics, and the ability to change to the old graphics on the fly was excellent!

But that is an actual retro compilation and not a 2009 game.
