I have a friend that tried that wacky fake cigarette out. He had it for about a week and broke it by dropping it from a sitting position onto his carpet. This made him mad and he went and bought a pack heh. I hope that was just a fluke though and they are more reliable than that.

^That thing is a crutch.

If you want to quit smoking, quit smoking. Although it is easier for some folks.

Stopping may be easier than starting for some people. A good friend of mine is buying a gym membership for he and his wife for xmas. An awesome dual gift, I think, if they take advantage of it. But here is the thing; I asked my buddy, "Why not spend half the amount and go to the Wimbledon gym?". His response: "My wife said it's too far to drive to".

I flat out told him that if his wife doesn't have the motivation to drive to a gym, she doesn't have the motivation to work out. Period.

Reminds me of Mitch:
"You don't know how hard it is to quit smoking. Yes I do, it's as hard as it is to star flossing. You seem jittery: Yeah, I'm about to floss".

In his case it actually wasnt a crutch because he refuses to give up smoking. He was only looking for a healthier alternative. As for posting a Hepburg joke that officially makes you good people. :D I havent thought about him in years.

Yeah, as far as I know, those electronic cigarettes aren't marketed as an aid to quit smoking. It's marketed as healthier than smoking, but I think it's pretty clear that the makers are hoping to sell a lot of their nicotine water capsule things. I think they are marketing it as healthier than real smoking, though.

Yuppers. "Healthy Alternative to Smoking" products are BIG business.

I used nicotine patches myself. It cut the nicotine withdraw but left me with the mental sensation that I was constantly forgetting to do something. Oh yeah, I was forgetting to smoke. lol

Just switch to pot. Smoke a doob every time you want a cigarette. You'll soon forget all about tobacco, and everything else. And bonus, THC kills cancer cells.

One of my friends had a college roommate that pantomimed smoking with pens all the time. He never smoked, but picked up the habit of going through the motions. It was kinda weird.
