That's the neatest thing I've read all month. Perhaps justice does exist.

Yeah, kick those record companies in the nuts where they totally deserve it.

Sweet sweet justice. There is no other company or group of companies in the world who is more deserving of this than the RIAA. They have been at the top of my boycott list since I first started one. (Yes, that means I have to make sure every Sony product I buy is used.)

If you don't mind my asking, what exactly is wrong with Sony? They are my favorite electronics company.Inazuma wrote:Sweet sweet justice. Sony is one of the major companies in the RIAA. Same with Universal, Warner and EMI, along with many other smaller record label companies. I think that Sony makes great electronics too but my morals prevent me from supporting them financially. Plus, I am still upset at them for shutting down Lik-Sang, the online video game store.BoringSupreez wrote:If you don't mind my asking, what exactly is wrong with Sony? The recording industry consists of money-grubbing, technology-shunning, backwards companies that don't realize that you have to adapt business to current conditions, respect artists and cater to the needs of consumers instead of locking them into business models that are only good for the recording industry.
And personally, while I dig Sony electronics, I think Sony's video game business is soul-less, uninspired and, over the years, has generally had a negative affect on the direction of the game industry as a whole. I miss the days where hardware developers were equally skilled at creating amazing, memorable software.
But that's just my 2¢.

YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS ARE DEAD. GAME OVER.
Re: OH, I love irony
I get what you're saying, but disagree. Sony produces great consumer electronics, and that's exactly what they have done with the Playstation. A great console sets the stage for great games, of which all of the playstations have had many. They may not have a clear mascot* for their consoles like a Mario, Sonic, or Master Chief, but they have created some of the best gaming consoles to date. I mean, come on, it's called the Emotion Engine. It's gotta have a soul to have emotions.BAD PIXEL wrote: And personally, while I dig Sony electronics, I think Sony's video game business is soul-less, uninspired and, over the years, has generally had a negative affect on the direction of the game industry as a whole. *unless you count Crash Bandicoot, which I don't. Mario was the original ideal mascot, Sonic was like an edgy version of Mario, and then Crash came along and was like a batshit insane version of Sonic. I kind of love Crash for that, but I still think he is laughable as a flagship character.
