The Wii is a failure for video games and technological improvements in graphics, resolution and netplay. It's a success for non-game software and making insane amounts of money.noiseredux wrote:and they say the Wii is a failure...

Although the Wii is basically a Gamecube with some added shit (motion controls, loads of shitty software), you gotta hand it to Nintendo for figuring out a way to make tons of money from selling it.

I would say that a loss of 40lbs from a videogame is hardly a faliure

All consoles are failures by those criteria since you can not upgrade them they hold back advances. Sure they improve over the previous generation but then we get 5+ years of the same thing.Inazuma wrote: The Wii is a failure for video games and technological improvements in graphics, resolution and netplay. Re: Yay -- Lost 40 lbs with Wii Fit :)
I've been just under 6 foot since 7th grade. When I was in public school forced to exercise daily with PE and eating a better diet courtesy of living at home, I weighed 120 pounds. That was constant until heading to college. I think the most I've gotten to over the years was about 160. Based on pants looseness I think I'm around 145 again. I don't actually own a bathroom scale though so I'm not sure.

Getting my pants size back to 32" is my goal as well. Right now I am at 34" and sometimes that feels a little tight in the waist. All of my medium tee shirts are kind of small too.
I do not want to buy all new clothes though.

Well, me either -- in fact I never noticed the difference I was making until I started comparing photos. Over the last few years, my face was just getting a bit rounder a little at a time and my gut just sticking out a bit more.BigTinz wrote:That's odd racket. I never figured you for a fatty.
Congrats!
Now, my face is back where it was at in like 2003 (gonna be hard to top that since I'm heading into my 30s) and my stomach is pretty flat for the most part.
So I wouldn't say I was fat -- just not in shape.
