Yay -- Lost 40 lbs with Wii Fit :)

Post by racketboy »

Just had to share -- I've been using Wii Fit since August and it's helped me lose 40lbs. :)
Granted, I don't depend on it for the exercise (I do a lot of walking and then some simple stuff at home), but just weighing in everyday had helped me stay motivated and gives me feedback on what stuff is working for me (diet/exercise)

I just broke into the "Normal" category (after starting on the high end of "Overweight")

Wow, that's a lot. I think I lost about 10-12 just by starting working at home so I wasn't buying fast food for lunch every day, but 40 is pretty good for a video game exercise thing. Glad it got you motivated.

Cutting back on night-time snacking has been huge for me.
I used to be a sucker for eating a bowl of cereal or two right before bed...

I guess I should take on this habit. I'm either on the very low end of "Normal" or the high end of "Underweight". I eat as much as the next normal guy but my metabolism is high.

Congrats on loosing the weight. I am getting a Wii from my girlfriend for Christmas. She said I can borrow her parents Wii Fit. I'm hoping for some results too! I'd love to shave off a good 10 pounds if possible. XD

The original one -- I might get Plus later. But I actually have the EA Sports Active on my Christmas wishlist...

Weird, I had thought of starting a thread to share my happiness over my weight loss as well. But mine wasn't due to Wii Fit.

Anyway, congratulations, Racket. I know how it feels. How much time did it take to lose that much weight?

I lost 50 pounds in 3 months, but I've been going to the gym. Honestly, I didn't think I would like it, but I quite enjoy it. I got much stronger and I don't look like crap anymore.

(I had already lost a lot of weight once before, but over the years everything came back, so I went and done something about it. I'm pretty obsessive, so going to the gym fit me pretty well.)

It's been about 4.5 months so far -- I was doing about 10lbs a month for a while -- getting a little harder to be so fast now

But congrats on your loss as well!
