Pippin and Saturn combine to form Sucktron!
You did NOT just say that the Saturn sucked....
The Saturn had some good games in spite of itself.

Blasphemy, Mr.Popo. I do not exaggerate when I say the Saturn is my favorite Sega console.

Granted, its American line-up sucked ass, but judging the Saturn by its American line-up would be like judging the Xbox 360 by its Japanese line-up: it just ain't right.

You wanna talk Sega systems that universally suck, you should have said "Pippin and 32X combine ..."

Sega makes anything? I thought they pimped developers and ran arcades filled with other publishers games in Japan.

j/k but......not really that much.

ever try to put a Creative 3DO Blaster into an FM Town Marty ISA slot? I think thats about what you get from a Pippen 32x mix.
I like old games

Sega would be taking a huge risk that probably wouldn't be worth it.

Makes me sad; I would definitely buy a console Sega puts out--and the last console I bought new was the N64.

I would _LOVE_ to see a new Sega console as back in the day i was one of those Nintendo fanboys completely obsessed with Pokemon and its only now that i'm finaly getting to see the shear number of truly superb games that were made by both sega and its 3rd party devs.

I mean i still remember back in primary school where we use to try and gang up on the sega fans and then they'd go all ghetto and start quoting things sonic would say... and i mean at the time those sorts of things where fun because there was a real drive with gamers thats missing with a lot of kids today.

If they were to release one i think about 70% of sales would go to 20-30yo's and huge rise in unemployment and sick leaves :P

but in the end i don't think this world is ready for sega(and yes, to think i was a nintendo fanboy)
Saturn, SNES, NGC, Wii, DSi, GBA, GBA Micro, PSX, PS2 and every emulator ever made :P

The Saturn *itself* wasn't the problem. The problem was the internal bickering between Sega of America and Sega of Japan.

The same regional bickering put a dent in Nintendo around the same era, however they seemed to get it under control more quickly, whereas with Sega it tore them apart from within.

Architecturally the Saturn was a mess. There's a reason that many devs jumped ship to the Playstation.

An expensive mess, too.

Devs jumped ship to the PlayStation because it had a larger install base. It rarely has anything to do with how difficult it is to develop for - otherwise, the PlayStation 2 would have been trampled by the Dreamcast.
