I have a question to ask of you all:
Do you have any games that remind you of Christmas?

Mine is a pretty surprising one: Metroid II.

I bought it on the last day of school before Christmas when I was in Grade 8 and I trudged home in the snow to play it. I played it non-stop until I finished it a few days later. I did most of it while sitting in front of my Christmas tree. So that game always reminds me of Christmas and I always get a hankering to play it around this time of year. I'll probably hook up my Super Game Boy in a couple of days, once my exams are done, and play it again.

I received my first NES on xmas the year they came out. I got the big set that came with Rob, SMB, Duck Hunt and Gyromite. Playing SMB does not remind me of xmas but I have great memories of that xmas because of the NES. I remember before I got it I loved everytime my family would go to Kmart and I got to play SMB on the display system. All I had at that point was an aging Atari 2600 and the NES blew that away in my mind at the time.

Yeah, basically any game I got for Christmas or played around that time makes me think of Christmas. A few I can think of are Battletoads In Battlemaniacs, Donkey Kong Country 3, SSX 3, KOTOR 2, Mass Effect.

Years ago, circa 1992, a friend of mine and I could tell there were a couple of games underneath the tree at my house. So, one night, when my mom was at a Christmas party or something, we decided to open up the presents, with the plan that we could simply use plastic comic book sleeves to "reseal" the games - which we did by using a hot butter knife and burning the sleeve to the game. After a few tries on a book, we perfected the technique and IT WORKED FLAWLESSLY! After we played a couple of hours, we resealed the games and on Christmas I acted just as surprised and excited as I could muster.

a game that reminds me of christmas is earthworm jim for the genesis, i got it when i was little on chirstmas, and just loved it
