iirc you need to burst the label to take the SNES apart anyway.

Good job, looks loads better.

Cool, but how did the labels on the bottom fare after the soaking?

I'm the kind of person who likes all of his stuff in good condition so I'd be scared to soak my SNES's bottom in fear of my labels coming off or disintegrating.
Surprisingly, the labels on the bottom stayed on and still looked perfect even after about 3 soakings. Since the peroxide isn't completely water-based, the labels weren't messed up. The fact that the labels were foil instead of paper worked as well.

Awesome, sadly we got paper stickers on our US SNES case labels for every batch of systems made after 1991.

I can't wait to try this on my SNES! I have been thinking about doing it for a while now, but those before and after pictures really inspired me. It gives me an excuse to open it up too, since the eject button has been acting funky ever since I let one of my friends borrow it.

Hey thanks for posting the photos and info. I had been considering done this but difficulty finding the higher percentage hydrogen peroxide kept me from going further. Glad to know 3% will work. That Super Famicom looks awesome! Congratulations!

A bump of a really great Guide (In the OP) lost in time. Maybe a Mod can move this Thread out of the Whatever Section and into the Guides Section?
