i've lived in indianapolis my entire life and not once have i been to the indianapolis motor speedway.

i live about 2 hrs south of you and i've been to the speedway, its actually a neat place, i myself went to the last year of formula 1 racing.

i guess i've never beat banjo kazooie all the way.

And really, I do prefer dry sandwiches, but I think a large part of that is based on the fact that I'm just not that crazy about most condiments. I'm not particularly fond of ketchup. I like good mustard alright, but I just don't use it very often. But I really, really, really hate the taste and smell of mayonnaise.

Growing up, that was definitely me. I don't put condiments on my sandwiches but I will use them during cooking. A very simple baked fish recipe I use calls for mayo on the top of the fish and a special cracker crumbs. I do make my own mayo when it's called for. None of that stuff in a .jar.

Caesar dressing is my favorite which is similar to mayo but has cheese in it.

I also couldn't stand cheese on hot sandwiches (with the exception of chicken parm) but since being an adult, I always put cheese on my grilled chicken, burgers, etc.

It's funny that I see some of the same weird food fetishes in my kids. It must be something in the genes.

One of my best friend's Grandmother visits from England over the holidays, and she is a riot. She's in her late 80's, but is still a spark plug. I'll never forget the first time I met her, my friend's Mom, was making her tea, and the conversation went:

Mom: Would you like sugar in your tea?
Grandma: I want tea in my tea!
Mom: Milk or cream?
Grandma: Dear God woman! Did I ask for cream? *pause* Answer?
Mom: No.
Grandma: Exactly, I want tea in my tea! *pause* And make sure it's hot! Last cup wasn't hot.

I instantly fell in love with her.

I know where you are coming from. Around the East coast, there is a fast food biscuit/chicken restaurant called Bojangles. Once in a blue moon I'll order a few biscuits on a weekend morning. I'll order a gravy biscuit and milk. Then, they always, always ask:

"White milk or chocolate milk?"

I ordered milk. Did I say chocolate milk? No I did not. And who the fuck calls it "white milk"? It's MILK. Every single time with Bojangles, "White milk or chocolate milk?". Isn't it crystal clear that when someone wants chocolate milk they ask for it? You don't order milk and just expect the chocolate fairy to drop a few squirts in it.

I can't think of much I haven't done. Nothing real surprising.

I've never smoked cigarettes, but most of my friends haven't. It's a lot less common in my generation I suppose. Or maybe it's just that all my friends are nerds.

I've never been the United States. I'm Canadian, and most of us make the trek south at some point. All my friends have been there for various reasons. I almost drove down to Seattle once when I was in Vancouver, but plans changed.

I've never seen Titanic! I was a freak in my fourth grade class cause I hadn't seen it. I was the only one. I've still never met anyone my age who hasn't seen it. My girlfriend has it on DVD so we'll probably watch it eventually.

I've never stayed overnight at a hospital. I've never had serious surgery before either. I had my wisdom teeth pulled a few years ago though.
