Videogames are not fun.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I think the kid in video 2 and 4 are the same kid... not sure though I didn't check sources.

1 and 2 I've never seen before but they are both sad..... I sometimes too get a little upset when people are being retarded and im in a cranky mood, but holy CRAP.

I'm surprised that the DDR monitor guy isn't on there.

Ok... so becides the scary maze bullshit... almost all of those were fps games. There is a weird phenomena with getting better at fps games and the competitive environment around them. When you start playing them for the first time you kind of expect to be killed a lot so you enjoy the small moments when you actually get the drop on someone and you are just sheer panic and spray shots all over the place until you eventually hit the guy. Fun, thrilling times. Then you start getting a little better and you can get more kills then deaths. You start to figure out all the little nooks of the map. This is probably the most fun you are going to have. Now you've hit the point where you expect to have a positive kill/death ratio and when you don't get that you are upset. You start to make excuses/get angry at whatever is happening, but you remind yourself that this is the only way to get better. You are having less fun then when you started, but you are getting better at the particular FPS game you are playing. I guess that is rewarding. Now you've hit a glass ceiling. You are better than most FPS players, but not as good as the top guys. More often than not you can get in the top 3 or 4 guys every round. It happens so often that you don't even get joy out of it. It just is. That is when someone better comes along and starts to crush you and your team. You can't seem to get a leg up and get started. You are nothing but anger and rage. This is the point when you aren't having fun anymore in any capacity and don't even know why you are still playing, but you are still playing.

most of the videos are from that last stage of what i call fps syndrome.

I'm so happy I've never taken games seriously enough to flip out like that. I've never even done the controller-throwing thing. These guys freak me out, man.

LOL. So true. I think I was at the top 3 or 4 guys every round in cs before quitting (long time ago). I never really cared about the other team crushing my team though because I would still be at the top of that team. So I don't think I ever was angry or rage. That's just people talking a game way too seriously. I mean I could always "reconnect" or join another server haha

But yes, at the kill/death ratio = 1 stage, that's the highest point and the fun diminishes after.

But cs was nice actually because there are so many specific maps (fy_iceworld, cs_deagle5, scoutzknivez) using different approach. A good regular map player joining a scoutzknivez map would get crushed as there were so many good scoutzknivez players. So you can always get yourself back down in ratio :)
