Highly enticing, but I just can't seem to spend my hard earned yankee dollars on a d/l game...unless it's XBLA exclusive, etc. Then again, for $5 you really can't go wrong.

Seriously? Even for $5? You spend twice that to go see a movie in the theater, and you don't get nearly as much entertainment for your dollar. This was an insta-buy for me.

I lost the install password to my PC copy of Half-Life years ago, although I cling on to the disc in hopes one day I will find it.

Sucks. My friends and I loved us some CS.

I used to play the original cs even after the transfer to steam. Haven't played it now for a long time and never tried source. Is source really much better than the original? I mean for $5 I'll give it a try even if I don't know anyone who would play cs with me anymore

CS and Source both have their differences (i kind of poo-poo'd CS when 1.6 came out, but that's ancient history) but the amount of custom maps/servers and game types like zombie mod, surf maps and the Kreedz jump maps on both are well worth the admission price. I prefer Source, and have been playing it since it came out in 04.

Also, the endless Dedicated and Clan servers that are up are amazing, find the right community, join in and maybe donate to help run the server and you become admin! I used to be in a clan CSSMC, Counter Strike Source Mod Clan where we'd make custom maps and stuff. Oh, how I wish those days weren't over.

Even with MW2 out and about, I always still gravitate towards CSS and always come back to play it. There isn't another shooter out there that feels like it to me.

wow i wish it would have been $5 back in june, i got my new laptop in June, wich is capable of running any of the source games, previously i've been using the same old compaq POSario desktop that could barely run Half-life 1 correctly so i missed out on the source games from 2005 to 2009, but when i got CSS it was like $30
