Had some friends round the other night and we had a great evening of multiplayer madness on the Gamecube. When I have 3 or more people round it's always the most played, last saturday night we played:
Mario Party 5
Wario Ware
Super Monkey Ball 2
Soul Calibur 2
I find when I have one other person round we usually end up playing Dreamcast, mostly end up playing fighting games^^ Make a point of playing Soul Calibur every time without fail, other favourites include:
D.O.A 2
Virtua Tennis
Power Stone
Marvel VS Capcom 2
and just lately since I got the Sega Smash Pack disc for DC, we've been playing:
Golden Axe
Virtua Cop 2 and Streets of Rage 2
What multiplayer games do you play regulary? What do you think is the best multiplayer console?
Multiplayer
Gamecube might just be the best with the Dreamcast and Saturn close behind.
Pac-Man vs is an essential

I really love beach spikers for gamecube multiplayer. It's better than virtua tennis IMO. Too bad it was never released for dreamcast. But I'm loving gamecube multiplayer because of those awesome wireless controllers. I used to hate all the cords getting tangled when I had 4 people crowded around my closet door (I had the tv in the closet).
my favorite party game is prolly Mario Kart 64 on N64.
Mario Party on N64 gets play also, but its a bit long to finish.
on the Genesis I love Rampart and marble madness, both 2 player
on Xbox Halo, Halo 2, Crimson Skies, Starwars Battlefront, Tetris Worlds, Worms 3D. all 4 player or more with linked xboxes
halo Lan party is alot of fun if you can get the people togther. I have been to one with 4 xboxes and 12 players, good times.

I think the Gamecube is probably the best multiplayer console nowadays. As in, excluding the Dreamcast (since I don't have many DC games to judge it).
For GCN multiplayer games, Pac-Man VS. is a MUST. The game is brilliant! Unfortunately you also need a GBA and GBA/GCN link cable, but I found one at EBGames for $5 so it can't be that hard. There's Mario Kart Double Dash!! (which is easily the best Mario Kart), Zelda: Four Swords Adventures, and some Mario Sports games. Namely, Super Mario Strikers and Mario Power Tennis. Also, Tales of Symphonia is a pretty decent Co-Op game, even if it's only for battles.
The Xbox is pretty good for multiplayer as well, due to Live. Still, for offline there's Halo/2 Co-Op or system link, Metal Slug 3, or either Star Wars Battlefront games. And while it isn't Jet Set Radio's biggest draw, the multiplayer isn't all that bad.
Playstation 2 kinda fails for multiplayer if you ask me. I can only think of Katamari off the top of my head, but I'm positive there's more.
