The Most Controversial Game Ads EVER

Take a look at GamePro's picks:

There a Saturn one in there :)

Any others that you can think of?

Well the commercial where segata sanshiro snaps the kid's neck for playing baseball instead of saturn, that has always been something i thought would've been controversial, if not hilarious
lol.

But I remember the arm ripped off ad from a long time ago. I don't remember seeing the saturn ad but I think that was a great advertisement. I can't believe people actually wrote angry letters to gamepro for that.

I remember it, but it's been a long time since I've seen the commerical.
Seen the print ads a lot though.

Cool, I remember that Saturn ad from when I was little. Heh, I guess it never occured to me that some of the ads from those magazines would offend anyone. Speaking of which I remember this one for the 32X it went something like this:

Kid: Mommy, what are those two Sega machines doing?
Mommy: There making an arcade system dear.

I guess you'd have to see it for yourself... anyone remember that one???

More recently there was the ad for Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball that said something about needing tissue... or tissue not included or something... I can't remember.

Came across that D.O.A ad today, off Hardcore Gaming 101, another great retro resource, link below:

I used to have tons of Video Game magazines from 1989 to 1999, but I don't know where they are now. :( I remember the EGM issue with the nude lady covered with Saturn. I wonder if there are scans of all the magazines available? That would be sooooo sweet.
