My new collection quest. . .

Post by Jrecee »

I usually don't make a point of collecting any sort of toys outside of some misc sonic stuff I've picked up, as collecting videogames is already nerdy enough, but instead of "retro game room" I think I'm going to go for a "retro 90s room" now that I've seen these:

Casey Jones, Shredder, and Slash are coming too apparently. I now need to recollect all the turtles figures I owned as a kid. . . in the boxes. The only drag I see with these is that the 4 turtles have that stupid BONUS DVD sticker which kind of ruins the completely retro look of the boxes. I'm alright with the 25th anniversary logo but the dvd thing is annoying.

Do they have squishy heads like the originals did or the hard like later?

I'm assuming they went with the later versions so they've probably got the hard heads. I only remember having one figure with the rubber head, it really doesn't matter to me anyway, I'm not gonna open them up. Well maybe just one. . . so I can enjoy that new plastic smell.

How much did you pay? I was looking on ebay and the prices are pretty reasonable actually, which is surprising for ebay. I'd hope that if I run into anything at a fleamarket/antiques show I might be able to get away pretty cheap.

it was awhile ago, but I think it was probably like $5. it would be cool to have more.

I have all the Ninja Turtles when they were released back in 89 or 90. All them are still in good condition. I remember the hardest x-men toys to find were Icemen, cyclops, gambit, rogue, yellow blue wolverine, beast.

My friend used to have the whole set. He was talking about it this summer. He sold it to his neighbor for $30. I'll ask him about getting it back. He actually had the technodrome with all he turtle bones and skulls along the base. He regretted selling once we started talking about it, but there's still a chance of completing your collection for pretty cheap.
