So I finally got to upgrade my xbox with a new western digital 500gb IDE HDD. I formatted it and all and it actually works in my xbox. The only problem is I have no idea how to put anything on it(Emulators and XBMC). I started out with evox on the HDD but uninstalled the softmod and then installed Unleash X because editing the evox.ini file was more complicated then I had time to spend on it. Also why is it that my 500gb HDD is said to have only ~125GB free in my F folder by unleashx? Did all the formatting take up the rest? I'm basically asking how do I put emulators and TV/Movies on my new HDD and why does it only have 120gb free. Maybe it is the X,Y,Z folders? Any help would be appreciated thanks.
This is the HDD I'm using: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... K:MEWNX:IT
Upgrading Xbox HDD 500gb --> 120gb?
Re: Upgrading Xbox HDD 500gb --> 120gb?
There should be some option somewhere in Unleash X that enables the "G" partition. This is where the rest of the space will be. I think you will have to format G before you can actually put any files on it. There should be a format option somewhere in the file manager option menu. I don't use Unleash X, so I can't be more specific.

Download XBPartitioner. It's what I used to install my Xbox's 500 GB hard drive. Just put the rest of the space into a new partition.

I read up on it some more and from what I gathered I had to revert back to evox, which I did. So now I'm on a Evox dash. A lot of the sites say I have to flash my bios with XXXX or whatever bios since the G Partition has to be formatted/unlocked. XBPartitioner easy to use? Currently messing around to see what works. These are the sources I have which are easy enough to understand, the flashing bios is basically xbox scene and blah blah sites.
