Games you play to death that nobody else does.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Games you play to death that nobody else does.

Post by AwesomeMonstar »

This week, I decided to start playing The Ship again, and I kinda realized... I am the only damn person who plays this game. It's not that it's absolutely remarkable, or that it's one of my favorite games, I just keep coming back to it, and I know I'm one of the very few. I'm also damn good at it, which helps a lot.

For those of you who haven't played/heard of the ship, it's akin to the game assassin. You get a picture of one person that it is your duty to kill. Everyone else on the server means nothing to you. Onece you kill your quarry, you assaigned another, presumbly your quarry's quarry and keep killing
till there's no one left to kill. You get extra points for killing with certain objects, and there are plenty to choose from. However, you're also being chased, and if you're killed, you're game is up. So you have to try to kill whoever s trying to kill you to protect yourself, and kill you're quarry to score. All the while managing a sims-esque status meter (going to the bathroom, eating, reading, sleeping, etc). It's intracite, no doubt, but the learning curve really isn't all that bad. It's just so damn unique that I always find myself coming back to it.

Anyways, that's mine, anyone else got a game they always play that no one else seems to? Doesn't have to be amazing, or one of your favorites, just something you play alot that others don't
Don't that just look oh so tasty?

We had a game like that in real life everybody throws in 10 bucks gets a picture of someone else playing that they have to shoot with a nerf gun shoot them you get the picture of who they had. it usually would just last all summer. the last person standing got all the money I think the last time it was paid out it was like 500 dollars but last year a couple of people moved so no one was able to win so we just got a keg of some Bells oberon and had a party for everyone.

This game sounds amazingly fun. I may have to look into getting the ship so your not the only one playing.

I had gotten the C64 version (yes an original) from someone without instructions back in the day. I always lost until I finally figured out how to drop ghost bait so that Stay Puft would stop crushing buildings and the city would stop fining all my money away. Then I finally beat it which gives you a code so you can start with more money and buy that damned sports car. Not a great game, but I enjoyed it enough to finish it.

I thought everybody plays Tetris Attack to death...

I remember seeing Tetris Attack tournaments alongside Smash Bros Brawl and Street Fighter IV tournaments.
