I have graduated!
Re: I have graduated!
I had to do a tower defense to get my BA in tower fornification
Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for me.
Re: I have graduated!
Whoo graduation. All I have to do is get a C on my final exam and I will be getting my Associates of the liberal arts(two year degree). It only took me 3 and 1/2 years.
Re: I have graduated!
Congrats! I'm about three days away from being done with my Master's.
In fact, in the last twenty four hours, I wrote a seven page paper on the management failings of the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library over the last decade. I have no words to describe how shocked I was by what all was going on in that county.

Re: I have graduated!
Whoo, I should be graduating in spring, but I dicked off last semester.
I'll be here to summer at least, possible next fall. I should really figure that out.

That's great. On what area are you getting your Master's?Ack wrote:Congrats! I'm about three days away from being done with my Master's.

I'm thinking about it. Well, everyone is telling me to do that. Maybe if I can do my Master's on another country... it would be way more fun.Luke wrote:Congrats man!
Now go get your masters!

Social Communication is... social communication. You learn about communicating. In my case, I studied Journalism -- the name of the course is "Social Communication with habilitation in Journalism", or something to that effect (I don't know the proper translation in English). Likewise, in my university, there are also social communication courses with habilitation in Radio & TV and Publicity. However, they're still the same course, just with different focuses.kingmohd84 wrote:What is Social communication?

Having graduated, I can be a journalist, work as spokesman, in corporate communications, whatever. Anything related to the area. To be sure, graduating is not necessary to work as a journalist, but it's a big plus.
About defending, you are required to "defend" your final work on the university (at least here, but I suppose it's similar around the world). You do, say, a monograph, or an essay, or (in journalism) a magazine, a website, whatever.
After you're done, you have to present your work before three professors (the bureaucracy of choosing which professors is kind of intricate, but I won't delve into that here). After that, they comment on your work and ask questions. Then you have to defend your work. If you do so successfully, you're awarded your Bachelor's degree.

Heh. I took a Communication course, but it was all a bunch of Fourier Transforms and error correction codes and modulation schemes.jfrost wrote: Social Communication is... social communication.
