Recently I've been doing some major research into the Neo Geo games and wanted to pick up a few of the compilations on the PS2 as well as some of the best titles. But I'm a bit unsure as to what games are worth me picking up. I wanted to get into the fighting games more so than their other titles. Here's what I was thinking of picking up, tell me what you think:
King of Fighters 2002/2003
Fatal Fury Battle Archives 1
Art of Fighting trilogy
I reckon that these games sound like the best ones on the PS2. Although I'm not sure what the 3D KoF games are like. Also should I get KoF 2002/3 or KoF11? Any other suggestions?

I liked the RealBout series (Fatal Fury Battle Archives 2). The Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury Vol 1 and Kizuna Encounter(Fuun) are dated, so only hardcore collectors need apply. The Metal Slug's are good. I do not think any of the shooters ever got ported, Plustar and Blazing Star would a nice set.
NGBC is not a MVS/AES game...it's SNK/Playmore, but it's on Atomiswave. And it is a great game, we play it hard in the Triad. In fact, Philip, Alex and Lu took top three at Final Round X this year, all from NC. There is a scene but MvC2, CvS2 and 3S are just too popular.
