Currently I’m studying Chinese, linguistics and design at Univerity, subjects which really interests me(bar linguistics ><). Much like any person my age I enjoy spending time with my friends and family but specifically I have interests in video games, anime, Chinese, digital design and music.

Hi

Post by splatternick »

Hey! I'm splatternick (The name comes from the beginning of my name, Nicholas, and the beginning of the genesis game, Splatterhouse 2)

I joined because I love the blog, and I love video games. I especially like Shmups like Ikaruga, Radiant Silvergun, Gigawing, Mars Matrix, and Gunbird. I also like Fighters like Street Fighter 3, Jojo's bizarre adventure, and Darkstalkers.

Aside from that, I'm also an artist mainly drawing video game characters at my deviantart page.

It's great to be here!

My name is Mike. I'm 27 and a journalist living in Missouri. Grew up on NES/SNES and PS1. Dig lots of types of games both new and old, but my faves seems to be adventure games or RPGs that craft a mood and setting and suck you in, such as various Zeldas, Shadow of the Colossus, Okami and (older) Final Fantasy games. Also love the DS. I collect NES carts, but I wouldn't say I have a staggering collection or anything.

Lately, I have been oddly drawn to shmups, a genre I really never have been into until now. I am thinking about tracking down a Saturn to fuel my curiosity. This new interest plus a general and long-held love of retro games has drawn me here. Racket -- this site f'ing rocks dude. I really dig all your lists.
