Just bought a new 72 pin connector.

Works fine, however some games work instantly without pushing down, and then there are some games that I need to push down to get them to work. But, if I do they work instantly. Now, I heard when you buy a new 72 pin connector you shouldn't push the slot down, but if this is the only way some of my games play what else should I do? I did clean all of my games, but maybe the ones that need pushing down aren't cleaned enough?

Nah, push them down. Eventually the pins will bend a little, but that's just the way its gonna be thanks to the design. Just make sure all your games are clean and don't ever blow in them so you don't start messing up the connector again.
