Anyone a Member of the ECA?

Post by SpaceBooger »

If you are did you see this post: http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/sho ... p?t=244949

I joined the ECA when it was free so that I could get the Amazon codes. I gave my CC# and understood that there was an automatic renewal that I could cancel at a later time. I got one Amazon code for NSMB and havent used my account since then and see no reason for paying $20 a year. I was planing on canceling, but now it seems as if it will be a major pain in the butt.

A lot of the things that are being pointed out about canceling seem very shady....Needing (or being *strongly* encouraged) to send with confirmation, which is expensive, and that they are going to keep guessing new exp dates on expired cc#s until the charge goes through. I feel like this has generated enough bad press for them to not rectify the situation somehow.

I've read through the various forums and such and this is very sketchy... they seemed to go on a banning spree for asking questions that were never answered. So sad.
