Yeah, it did. And the mod community was pretty active from what I recall, so it's likely that there will be a demand for SSFIV on PC. Capcom will probably do it anyway, since they have a tendency to do so.

I thought I heard something about nude mods. Oh well, my PC wouldn't be able to process it anyway.

They probably would port it, I really want to get this when it comes out. I just ordered new computer parts so I can play SFIV and other stuff.

I now realize that everybody hates on Guy(I still don't see why, he's always come across as having a lot more personality than Cody, which is something I find important), but the Alpha games were extremely popular, so it makes sense they would grab them.

I'm still the most disappointed over T.Hawk and Deejay though.
I personally hate on Guy for the same reason I hate on Wolverine in the Marvel vs series - everybody uses them. They get so much damn play. Plus, from a character design perspective, there isn't really much going on there. He's just a ninja wearing sneakers. That's about it. In my opinion, he has little personality - Cody is in fact a much deeper character. A former hero who ended up becoming a criminal, it's a great twist on a stale character.

The reason I hate Dee Jay and T.Hawk is pretty much solely because of their character design. Pure stereotypes, not to mention they have no place in the story what-so-ever. While all the other characters in Street Fighter are somehow interconnected to other characters (Dan and Blanka, for instance), T.Hawk and Dee Jay exist completely unto themselves.

I didn't know Guy was that popular, I thought the obvious choice is Ryu. Anyway most people who pick Wolverine are button mashers, that's I don't like him either. For some reason I can't stand Guile, that guy has crap moves, I can't understand way some people pick him.

Yeah, there are a lot of people who pick Guy, for much the same reason there are a lot of people that pick Ibuki. Ninja are popular.

As for Guile, he and the rest of the large cast of charge characters is another reason I don't care much for SF4. Characters like Guile, Blanka, E.Honda, M.Bison, Balrog, Vega and whoever else I'm missing encourage turtling, and the fact that there is very little you can do about turtling in SF4 makes it all the worse.

I agree about T.Hawk and Dee Jay,

The reason I liked Guy was because he was who I always played as in Final Fight. I didn't realize he was that popular because I hardly ever see folks use him, but then again it's been a long time since I've watched an SF Alpha match.

Cody, on the other hand...he always just felt plain vanilla to me, especially back in Final Fight. Truth is, I found him boring then, and his being sent to prison felt like a cop out by Capcom to make him "cool," as opposed to Guy and Hagar, who were interesting to begin with.

Well, it seems like a lot of people are claiming that Guy will be their preferred character, and I know that Guy was very popular where I live. Keep in mind, I live in an area where everybody stopped playing Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat once Samurai Showdown II appeared, so I may just be living in Bizarro Land.

Around here where I live, Guy isn't that popular. And they switched too SamSho II completely? You are in bizarro land.

I believe everyone (myself included) was tired of Street Fighter II. Aside from the tons of SF2 variations, we didn't have many other Capcom arcade machines. We did have Darkstalkers, but I was apparently the only one who enjoyed that. We never got the Alpha series, so there was never really a chance for that to become popular - I never even saw an Alpha arcade machine until I went on vacation.

Of course, after X-Men vs Street Fighter came out, that turned around.

This kinda makes me sad, now, remember the "good ol' days". Now, the best arcade in town is Chuck E Cheese, with all the previous arcades shut down save for one, which now has nothing but "Deal Or No Deal" machines and a bunch of other crap.
