If it's anything like the one's I've gotten, they're terrible :(

I've gotten four generic SNES pads of two different varieties and they all have the same problems: random buttons just do not work. Also, they feel light and cheap.

The best solution I found is to get refurbished ones from the Nintendo Repair Shop.

If the reviews on amazon.com mean anything, the controller is garbage. Official controllers really aren't that much, just spend the monies and enjoy your games.

I bought a knock off SNES pad once, last time I did anything like that.

As soon as you take it out of it's packaging you'll wish you had bought the real one. That was my experience anyway. Mine worked fine, but it definitely didn't feel right. The L and R buttons "click" when pressed instead of the pleasant "mush" of the original.

Mine felt OK, not like a real SNES pad but not horribly bad either. But it didn't work! Brand new in the box and it didn't work!

I've gotten these before, and they're not great. I bought 2, the D pad on the first one wouldn't go left, but the second one worked well enough. They feel pretty cheap though, and the one that worked for me is wearing out pretty bad by now.

Don't do it man. I thought mine was going to break as soon as I pulled it in and started playing. Cheap, cheap plastic.

... snes controllers... I have had too many bad experiences with them.I keep on completely wearing out the d pads. Maybe its all those contra 3 run throughs that do it :S. The only good repo pad I ever used that was good was the retrogen's one.
