I think I'm going to download that tonight...darthmunky wrote:You should check out Star Wars: Revisited. It's pretty much the special edition we never got. or what the special edition should have been. hundreds of fixes. The first one is out and Empire is coming out this May.Mr.White555 wrote:I watched Star Wars for the first time in about 5-6 years. I never realized how much of a b sci fi movie the original was. It was still good though. I need to re-watch Empire and Return of the Jedi.
I've also heard that someone re-edited the new trilogy and omitted a lot of the bad acting, Jar Jar, etc... I have no clue how to find them though.

There was one of episode 1 called Star Wars Edit that either completely removed JJ, or everything that wasn't important.jfe2 wrote:I think I'm going to download that tonight...darthmunky wrote:You should check out Star Wars: Revisited. There are a few cuts of Episode 1. The one I've seen is called Episode 1.1: The Phantom Edit.
They cut out as much Jar-Jar as they could get away with, as well as the robot saying, "Does not compute" and a bunch of other stupid stuff. It's better than the original, but it's still not a good movie.

Didn't they cut the light saber battle, the Gungan battle, and the space battle into three separate scenes? I swear I remember hearing that and being a bit excited.Limewater wrote:There are a few cuts of Episode 1. The one I've seen is called Episode 1.1: The Phantom Edit.

Sorry, I don't remember. I watched Episode 1 exactly once (in theaters). I then watched the Phantom Edit once. In fact, that is true of the entire new trilogy.jfe2 wrote:Didn't they cut the light saber battle, the Gungan battle, and the space battle into three separate scenes? Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
I don't know guys, I like the original 3 Star Wars better than the new ones. I mean, the first 3 are where the action is. Like, seeing how young, innocent Anakin Skywalker becomes Darth Vader. And what's with the crappy effects in the last three movies. I know the rumor is that the first three weren't very popular so they had to skimp on Episodes 4, 5, and 6, but personally I think they will become a cult favorite before long.

Xanadu. Pretty good.
The Journey: Absolution. Yet another pointless pseudo-homoerotic piece of Z-grade speculative fiction from David DeCocteau. Oh, wait... I can't call it Z-grade cuz that'd be an insult to Z-grade cinema. Basically, Richard Grieco is a psychotic crackpot who runs a futuristic military school who apparently is making supersoldiers and only Mario Lopez can stop him.
Saw part of "Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story" (I'm recording it to my DVR).
And now up to Disc 9 of 10 of Season One of Star Trek TOS.
Never saw the end of "Jab We Met", cuz it got deleted off of the DVR.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
Saw Ink tonight. I really liked this movie and recommend it to everyone. You can tell it's low budget in a couple places, but it is the story that really wins. Very unique and some good action.
Also saw Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. I am not sure if I spelled that correctly, but oh well. This film was pretty okay. I liked it better than the 2nd movie. The 1st is still my fav though. This one is almost as good though.
