Best TV for Gamnig?
Re: Best TV for Gamnig?
Just thought I'd chip in about the burn in issue. I once fell asleep with the test card on the screen for nearly 6 hours. I just turned the screen off and had no problems whatsover. That was on my Panasonic Viera, you may get different mileage with other screens.

Well Panasonic is the only company left besides Pioneer that still makes Plasma screen panels, and Pioneer does not market their panels out to other companies so if you buy a plasma then the actual display screen itself inside it will be made by Panasonic.Niode wrote:Just thought I'd chip in about the burn in issue. The hardware that drives the panel however is different in each manufacturer's set, but I highly recommend Panasonic's Viera series.

Thinking of getting this TV, http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1260 ... =rr.Theres some bad reviews but what is this "blinking television" problem? Also everyone seems to be saying that Plasmas die in a few months --> a few years. I think thats mostly on the bad handling part but some reassurance would be helpful. I really appreciate the information!

The half-life on a current Plasma screen is 30 years.itsmattxp wrote:Thinking of getting this TV, http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1260 ... =rr.Theres some bad reviews but what is this "blinking television" problem? Almost any problems (And this applies for 90% of all consumer electronics) are caused by idiotc errors on the part of the user, not in the display.

Re: Best TV for Gamnig?
Thanks so much for the help guys. Got my Panasonic Viera and am loving it. My PS3 looks great! Stereo sound could be a little better but there is a reason why I have speakers!
Re: Best TV for Gamnig?
Congratz on the purchase. You really can't get much better than a Panasonic Viera.
