I was wondering the same. Where are the posts from people shopping today?
I stayed at home myself. I was just getting home from my parent's at 1:30 AM this morning and all within 1/4 mile there was an accident where a Camry was wedged under the back of an SUV, the Best Buy parking lot was already full, and someone in the ditch. Now for the last one its not freezing here so there was no ice and the roads are dry. I have no idea how they were on the other side of the road in the ditch pointing the wrong way. So I stayed in away from the crazies today.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I actually went out this morning, at the behest of my girlfriend. She wanted to go to Kohl's, but luckily she's into games too, so we stopped by GameStop.
I picked up Gears Of War, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Sneak King (
I know), and the GC Gameboy Player, about $21 because of the buy 2 get 1 free. Pretty decent deal, except I've found that I hate Gears Of War. Anyone have any ideas of a replacement game to pick up from GS whilst I can still return it? It cost $9.99.
My girlfriend however picked up a super clean silver DS Lite refurb for $65 after taxes!
That's cheaper than I usually see them on CraigsList, and it's in pretty much new condition. She's wanted one for a while, so it's great that we found her a great deal on one. She's like a little kid at christmas, she hasn't put it down for hours!

How much was the GC Gameboy Player? I really need one.Lokkenjawnz wrote:I actually went out this morning, at the behest of my girlfriend. She wanted to go to Kohl's, but luckily she's into games too, so we stopped by GameStop.

It was $9.99. They're pretty hard to find at GameStops, this is only the second one I've ever seen. They are still stocked though, as far as I know anyways, so maybe try seeing if your local GS can order some in.izdead wrote:How much was the GC Gameboy Player? Actually, you should ask Mod_Man about this, he's the guru of all things GS.

Ya know what? I didn't really like Gears all that much at first either. Mainly the awkward control system. But once I got past the first levels it started to grow on me and then I began to enjoy it.Lokkenjawnz wrote: I picked up Gears Of War, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Sneak King (I know), and the GC Gameboy Player, about $21 because of the buy 2 get 1 free. Maybe it's just the first couple levels? I say give it more of a chance

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Yeah I thought it might be that. It really seems like the controls weren't properly tested by people outside the Dev team, it just seems a bit too complex, a bit unpolished. I'll try playing it a bit more though, see if it redeems itself.Weekend_Warrior wrote:Ya know what? I didn't really like Gears all that much at first either. Mainly the awkward control system. Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I hated gears the first time I played it. The whole game is just to stiff.
Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I'm playing it through (slowly) for the first time right now as well - and I agree that the controls are imprecise and clunky (as is movement, dialogue, and almost everything else other than graphics in this game). I'm about half way through and not overly-impressed.Alpinex2 wrote:I hated gears the first time I played it. The whole game is just to stiff.
I know everyone creamed themselves over GoW2 - is it any better?
Oh, and to stay on topic, I recently scored a boxed Splatterhouse 2 for $13.
I also took advantage of some Amazon BF Blu-Ray deals. I got Gladiator, Braveheart, Silence of the Lambs, Spaceballs, Wolverine, and There Will be Blood for under $60 shipped!
