Im curious to how long it sometimes takes to get to a title screen.
Often when you first boot up a game you sit there waiting for a game to load and all you get is a title screen. I mean does it really take that long to simply load a title screen + menus?
I can undertand it in some games when they employ FMVs in the background (i.e. Crackdown) etc but some games just load a screen with a picture and the menu.
Maybe I'm missing something here? (and dont say my marbles!)

i think (and this is coming from someone with literally NO background in programming or data arragement on a medium) that there is probably a lot of "background" loading before you get to the title screen. menus (like you said), music, graphics, the whole interface i'm sure takes time to load (i.e. push down and the cursor moves down).
so i dunno, i see how it's annoying but i guess i also see that it could be necessary in some cases for some games on some consoles and some times in some areas during some seasons.
