Re: What Are You Doing Tonight?
I went and saw Boondock Saints II: All Saints day. I was actually very disappointed with it. Then I went to Denny's with some friends. Great times

Re: What Are You Doing Tonight?
Yeah your right, a 4:3 would probably look better, but their expensive. I would rather get a 16:9 because of games like SF4 and other horizontal games would look benefit from a widescreen, its like a all in one deal for me. I have a crt to rotate, but degassing is a problem I don't want to deal with. I'll show you guys my stand and lcd when I get it set up.Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:Well to be honest TATED arcade games are actually just 3:4 which is the standard 4:3 on it's side so a 16:9 monitor won't really offer any advantages for older games programmed in 4:3.DCsegaDH wrote:http://urlwww.amazon.com/Ergotron-33-31 ... 2]This one
I got a 16:9 Acer widescreen, shmups and 80's vertical games are better on a widescreen when rotated, horizontal games are smaller compared to a crt, but its good enough for me.
That having been said be sure to give us a blurb on that stand when you get it, I've been looking at one of those for a while for my smaller game room where space is really an issue so I'm probably going to get it if it's a quality stand.
Systems: Sega Dreamcast(x2), Sega Genesis(x2), Sega Saturn, Sega CD, Genmobile (portable Genesis), FC Twin, PSX, PS2(x2), GBA, SP, Xbox 360, N64, Showcase Arcade

A quality 4:3 LCD should be dirt cheap.
Also, you only need to degauss a CRT once after you rotate it and then only degauss it again whenever you next rotate it to a different orientation.
