In FFX-2, she's 17. Still underage, though. :(
Not where I live!

I kinda hated how she looked in FFX-2, though. A lot. I much preferred the more conservative look she had in FFX.

Whatever, the only reason I like Rikku is because she's basically a rip off of Yuffie (and the only reason I like Yuffie is because she reminds me of a close friend of mine). And hell, if I decided on Yuffie - who is legal at this point, thanks to Advent Children (although I would force her to wear her old outfit - no Goths in this household!) - it would negate the existence of FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus, Advent Children, and the Kingdom Hearts series. Win freakin' win.

Love outside of marriage being impossible was never implied.

Nice try though.

Well if you knew that why did you list love as a reason for marriage? Just admit you don't have a valid reason. You know, it's OK to be wrong. That means you can learn something and become a smarter person. You don't have to struggle to come up arguments that don't make sense or resort to useless name calling in an attempt to "win" the argument. One good way to tell someone has given up on the argument is when they resort to name calling. I can be a troll or an asshole, or even a supporter of marriage, but it doesn't change the facts. I could go so far as to say, "Xonticus, everything you say is 100% true and I am the biggest asshole on the planet." but we both know that can't change reality.

Inazuma - "These gloves sure are nice. They keep my hands warm in this freezing blizzard."
Xonticus - "You should cross those dangerous icy mountains and buy gloves."
Inazuma - "Uh, I am already wearing gloves. Are you blind?"
Xonticus - "Idiot. That's not what I meant. You should cross those dangerous icy mountains and buy gloves."
Inazuma - "..."

With that much leg showing, I don't think 'conservative' describes her look. :P
no Goths in this household
They prefer to be called "emos" now. ;P

One good way of spotting a troll is if they've pulled arguments out of thin air.

@Inazuma
Think of it as a grand gesture. To tell someone you're commited is one thing but to have it officially acknowledged is another. I am willing to trust half of my life to you and I do so in front of family, God, Judge, in law or whatever. Marriage isn't a benefit, if you think of it as that of course I can see why you don't want to marry. If you marry someone to benefit thats not love of them but love of yourself. So think of it as suffering if that makes you feel better. Maybe one day you will love someone so much that words alone and money can't express how you feel. What's left that you can give but yourself and in return there self. Two halves to make a whole thats why they call it a union. I do have one question that bothers me about the 50% anaolgy. Lets say I make 30,000 a year and my wife makes 26,000 but I spend more on entertainment and she spends more on neccessities. We divorce she get 50% percent of belongings and I get the rest. wait where am I missing money. I would of only still made 30,000 a year and would've had to spend a lot more of my money on mortgage, household items, and other items if I wasn't married and was by myself. So how is this a bad thing the 50% thing, if I dumped my fiance right now I could leave with everything we bought togther because there is no proof who owned and the fact I spent money on hard good and she spent more on bills and food. But she could probably do the same to me. I find the saftey net comforting. Lets say I make all the money and we choose togther she would be a stay at home wife. Now because of this if we just broke up she would be screwed but if divorced she gets compensated for the loss of work and I am still spending the same amount on alimoney as if we still lived together. The only real loss is now I loss a housekeeper and need to learn to pick up after myself.

@ everyone else to continue the topic
Now the man marrying a video game character is a little weird, but I was reading info on the game and its supposedly could take years to hear everything they have to say so its like a real women. I kinda wish they would release games like this in the US. I have played only one dating sim and I kinda liked it. It felt like playing a rpg but instead of battling for experience you talk or do little chores.

Inazuma correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you're all taking his comments in the wrong way.

What I understood, from this post of his everyone is calling a 'troll' post, was his use of hyperbole to exemplify that the institution of marriage is not necessary in a relationship bound in love. That you can have such a relationship with out the shiny piece of paper.

And in contrast, that the institution of marriage is merely a facade set up to imply love. And thusly the idea of wedlock between any two parties is really on the same playing field and the only disgruntlement felt is your own extension of it in comparison to your own familiarity with what is love.

I for one am someone who agrees with this and don't believe in marriage. Not to say I think marriage is wrong, I just believe it's a tradition to which I do not apply myself... mainly because my ideals of what relationships are and can be are not of the norm either. This of course coming from a man who if I explained what it is I wouldn't care if people practiced, others would gock at me like I'm some sexist pig, yet quite the contrary, I just don't care what people do with their lives when it doesn't effect mine.

Beyond that, any crass things anyone may have said is well... rather suitable. It's not like all of us here don't jab jokes at one another. It's not like someone went overboard or anything.

Well, yeah, it isn't 'conservative', but it is 'more conservative'. All that yellow and pop star costuming - ick. On the other hand, her FFX outfit was functional and primary composed of earth tones.

The Pop star garb didn't bother me as much as Payne's Faux-Goth outfit.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Love has nothing to do with the marriage contract. It's just a piece of paper where the man agrees to give the woman half of his money. You can find true love and be perfectly happy together just fine without giving up half your money. I'd even argue that unmarried love is stronger and more true than married love.
