What's Your Favorite Old-School Racing Games?

Post by racketboy »

I used to adore racing games in my early arcade days. While racing is a genre that is definately benefited by 3D graphics, there are still a lot of great old-school 2D racing games.

Share your favorites!

Here's mine:
Road Blasters
Super Off-Road
Road Riot 4X4
Cisco Heat
Outrun
RC Pro Am on the Gameboy
I've also enjoyed Pole Position as of late

While not being centered mainly around racing, I enjoyed the old Genesis Road Rash series. It was always nice to get the cattle prod. :D

Which one was it for NES where you had that traction power up called 'super slicky stickies' was it RC Pro AM? That was great. The best thing about it was that power up though!

Play the hell out of...

The Hang-On pack in for Sega Master was one of my most played SMS games. Clearing over and over again. It was like meditation for m, that is until Sega Rally for Saturn came out. The big challenge for me in Hang-on was to see how many seconds I could have over accumulated by the end of the 5th race.
