I wasn't really sure where i should put this topic, i hope this forums OK. Fell free to move it if not.
Recently I've been having problems with save files on both my fire emblem cartridges (The PAL version of Fire emblem (7) and the NTSC-J version of Fire Emblem 6: Fuuin No Tsurugi). Fire emblem 7 loses its save files every so often, although not too frequently, and fire emblem 6 loses it after only 2 or 3 saves.
My first thought was that it could be save batteries run dry, but after a bit of research, i found that Fire Emblem 7, at least, doesnt have a battery, but rather has flash memory. I'm not sure about Fire Emblem 6. Fire Emblem 7 is definetely a legit copy, (purchased from a major chain game shop, brand new and sealed), although i cant be sure 6 isn't a pirate version with a battery.
Is there any way i can stop this happening if they do both have flash memory, or do i just have to give up? I thought Flash memory was meant to last a really long time, and be really reliable? Is there something that could have caused the flash memory to corrupt? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Fire Emblem Save Issues
Does the FE6 have a 2 or 3 digit code stamped into the cart label? If not, its a bootleg. Flash memory can be killed by static electricity, heat, and shock like any other electronics. If you try the game on another device, does it cooperate? Maybe its whatever you're playing it on.

That sucks. If you can see if it works ok in another system or try cleaning the cart and or system connector. If that doesn't help it might have been dropped, gotten shocked, or wet then.alienjesus wrote:Fire emblem 6 is a genuine copy.
