She wasn't. All she said was, "pretty" and "looks like real" and went pack to watching the FOREX market. She said the same with the first Uncharted, Afrika, Rise from Lair, Devil May Cry 4, Heavenly Sword, Metal Gear Solid 4, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, NHL '08, '09, '10, Half Life 2, Gran Turismo Prologue... etc. ... ... and ... ... the water effects in The King of Fighters '95 on the Neo Geo (wtf?).RadarScope1 wrote:Get Uncharted 2 and she'll be glued while you play through.

I think kingmohd84 is the new budsmoka. Do your threads all have to be like this? It seems like you try to start threads that all that is going to happen is people argue. Who wants to bet this thread is going to be locked like his piracy's not so bad thread.
Didn't you already post on this similiar thread?

Perhaps, but it is somewhat entertaining...pepharytheworm wrote:I think kingmohd84 is the new budsmoka.

Re: Wii: A failure
I guess I could have more fun with a Wii than the other HD machines (even though I want to buy a PS3).
Every once in a while I get my PS2 to a friend's house and play a crapton of multiplayer games (multitap FTW). Next-gen consoles offer nothing of the sort. In FPSs there are no split-screen multiplayer. Coop in most games is limited to online. We would be stuck watching each other play in turns. At least the Wii would be useful in this situation.
Also, of the current consoles, I would have to pick a Wii to play Metal Slug with my girlfriend, since it has Metal Slug Anthology, unlike the other consoles. So, HD machines are a total failure.

Im not going to lock it, since it will only prompt another one in a few months. What I dont understand is why you continue to have to bring up your unchanging opinion on this. So you got burned when you bought it, ok we get it. I bought a Jaguar for $200 then two weeks later the store stopped carrying Jaguar games, but I bet you havent heard me bitch about it on the forums. Hell I just* wrote a Jaguar 101. Why people must piss all over others opinions is something I will never understand.
Yall all know that I am a hardcore Nintendo fan - so much so that I own about 50 Wii titles. And on Friday I spent several hours playing New Super Mario Bros with an amalgamation of my friends and it was some of the most pure fun I have had with a videogame since I first played Four Swords on five screens. After a while we started bickering, killing each other on purpose, and laughing until our sides hurt. And guess what, everyone in the group had a next gen system (or in Ack's case three broken 360s) and/or a Gaming PC and even Borderlands did not provide this kind of fun. You say it failed gamers, I consider myself one of the more devoted and knowledgeable gamers in the area and it has served me well.
*Just as in some time ago and it now just got cleaned up enough for front page and will be posted sometime after the holidays.

Re: Wii: A failure
Yeah, I was there. And yes, I played the new Mario Bros. And I'll say right now that it was absolutely awesome in multiplayer, though not something I'd play by myself...but that's because of how I feel towards platformers and completely unrelated to the game(it's an awesome game folks). And the honest truth is, I keep coming across Wii games I want to play, even if reviewers considered them crap. And they're not all first-party titles, either.

Re: Wii: A failure
I may not be interested in the Wii (or this generation of consoles as a whole for that matter), but it's not by any definition of the word a failure.

Re: Wii: A failure
I probably have around 20-25 Wii titles with another 10 or so I'd like to pick up...
Even though I play it infrequently compared to other consoles, I feel like the overall quality of games in my Wii library is pretty much on par with those for my PS3 and 360 collections (both of which are decent-sized).
Of course I have the Wii hooked up to a standard def TV in the Living Room, so the sensory experience pales behind my surround sound/HDTV set up for the other consoles. But you're talking to a forum of retrogaming-enthusiasts, so I don't think most of us would be put off by sub-cutting edge graphics...
I would also agree that most of my favorite Wii games use the motion controller sparingly, with the possible exception of Wii sports, No More Heroes, and a few others...
kingmohd84, when you decide to finally ease your mind and give your Wii system away to one of these fine folks (you know that the longer you own it the less of a real gamer you truly are!), I'll be happy to take some of those games off your hands. Besides, I've been wanting to pick up Mario Kart Wii and the Boom Blox games for a while...
