So... let's start our own game development group.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

In this game, use any weapons you can get to stop all sorts of baddies and demons. Another neat feature is branching level progression based on multiple paths in levels and in-game time.

I really liked this idea
Yes. I originally envisioned it as a NES game, but the idea fell through.

And no, I don't wanna do this one first. It's too difficult and more suited for when we start on platform work.

Okay, since it seems like we already have someone working on music, I could at least help with level design.

Level design, music, art... now we need a programmer.

But let's talk theme. Sci-fi? Horror? Fantasy? Steampunk? I suggest steampunk since it hasn't been done before.

And since we're doing a platformer, are we talking along the lines of Mario, Sonic, Mega Man, etc? I say it should be a mix of elements from Mario, Bionic Commando and Mega Man.

Also, years ago, I had an idea for a platformer where your character can shapeshift to solve certain areas. And with certain morphs, you could go back to old levels and find new paths and stuff.

And I have these two ideas, but the both are for 3D games, so I won't mention them out loud.

I vote for Steampunk! A mix of mario and megaman would be good.
Life is as good as your game!

Another vote for the steampunk/Mega Man/Mario idea. Sounds awesome.

This is just a thought, but... why not contribute to another project before we start our own?
