If this really happens, you can count me in, I'll be willing to travel from Connecticut to North Carolina. I am planning on traveling this summer anyway, but if you guys are thinking around August, I have to miss out on ConnectiCon.

Thats my excuse except im coming from SC, my "akuma" sable isnt going to be happy to make the trip but if its this month no chance of me making it. If its sometime next year you can bet ill be there.
So when is the date?...
Edit: Oh this is for next year, then heck yea ill make it.

It would be interesting to meet likeminded people, but unfortunately the trip from wisconsin might just be a bit too much.

Re: RacketCon 2010
Ill have to go with Raleigh since thats where im from before where im at right now, i know all the roads, places to eat,
things like that. Plus if its in raleigh, it gives me a chance to see people and ive got a friend i can crash at, so that
saves me money for lodging there. Also, the traffic is no where as bad as Atlanta, and everything is pretty easy to get to,
you got restarunts/pizzarias on hilsborough street which isnt far from downtown and a way to hit up play n trades int he area as well.
Id rather drive the 5 hours to Raleigh than the 3 to Atlanta anyday. Plus if were in Raleigh we could get speakers from Epic Games, Red Storm
Vicious Cycle, the develop team behind Fallen Earth, since thats gaming capital on the east coast. Imagine if Epic supported us, that would ROCK!!!
Well, thats my defense...

Downtown Raleigh would be great, lots to do, decent food, convenient location.
That's one of the reasons I like Animazement since they moved to Downtown Raleigh.
Boy I tell you what, are those some god dang video games?

Yea, were not as sandwiched in like the Sheraton Hotel they had it at for 11 some years. The con center had so much breathing room, it was great. Ive got a friend who is wanting to be in the dealers room to sell off his stock of games he sells on ebay him and some people he knows, which would be cool...
Re: RacketCon 2010
The next logical step is to see who is in, and who can't make it. This needs it own thread, but since we are still working on this, Who Is IN?
At the very least, 3 people in my party.
So far, 3 people are in.

But the Sheraton felt so...homey. The new con center was a bit too big in my opinion. Lots of walking to get to simple places, and the dealers room felt cold and empty. Probably because half the people be it staff, panelist, or attendees were scared off by H1N1.
But yeah, you can count me and about 3 other people in aswell.
Boy I tell you what, are those some god dang video games?

Neat Idea.
I hope Chicago gets it... I mean, we already lost the Olympics.
