Fav. Gaming Beverages and/or Snacks?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Truer words my friend, truer words...
I don't get that, Luke.

You're all like "Oh yeah, I beat Blaster Master last night" or "I just beat Contra 4 on my third try", or "I just beat Battletoads with my feet". How can you do that while drinking beer?

immunities are amazing things.

I like her even more. I think she's a keeper sir.

Rootbeer/Orange is my favorite suicide.

What is crazy is that if you backread through the "Last game you beat" thread, you will see that I have in the past year beaten Blaster Master, Contra Rebirth, and passed the 3rd level in Battletoads (not with my feet though. that would be awesome).

I wouldn't consider myself as having a built tolerance to alcohol, it just seldom effects me when I do drink, as long as I'm not drinking Laphroig. I pace myself, and try to enjoy the beer that I do drink. In short, I don't drink to get drunk.

Ill get to work on beating Battletoads with my feet. In the past I did beat Halo in coop with my feet. And before you say anything, the guy I was cooping with had never played a FPS title before and really wanted to play "that angel thing game with the blue gun"

same. I'm pretty much always drinking beer when I'm playing. I just enjoy the taste of beer. A lot.

I dont know about getting past 3rd stage of Battletoads though. I mean ever.

And how.

Yesterday mle asked for a retro game for her birthday. My eyes got all misty. Bust-A-Move or not, she wants a retro game.

On topic: Hmm. Orange soda and root beer together. Makes me want to make a Orange-root beer float.

Just because you're drinking beer doesn't mean you're drunk. Beer is honestly pretty weak stuff, it's hard to drink enough of it to get properly drunk. There's a sweet spot after about 2 or 3 beers where you relax, clear your mind, and fall in the zone. Maybe your reaction time isn't as good as when totally sober, but you're not second guessing yourself either. As a result you play better, not worse.

Unless you drink some Wild Blue and then you can get quite easily. And pay for it dearly the next day.

Yessir.

My doctor recommends that I drink one to two servings of alcohol a day. Two years ago my cholesterol was in the 400's and my triglycerides were over 1,000. I'm an active, fit guy at that. Since adding alcohol to my daily diet, my cholesterol is hovering at around 200, and my triglycerides are at about 250.
Weird, huh?
