I Need Reliable, Accurate Information
I Need Reliable, Accurate Information
I'm writing a persuasive paper on why I think marijuana should be legalized. I have my intro done, but need to have more done by tomorrow. I'm going to start by talking about its history. I'm searching around right now, but am wondering if there are any well-known websites with reliable information. If anyone knows of any decent sites I'd appreciate it if you dropped some links here. If any mods want to lock this, that's fine too.
Re: I Need Reliable, Accurate Information
We had a discussion on here about this like a month ago. Maybe someone posted a link in there.
Re: I Need Reliable, Accurate Information
On this issue, I'm not sure such sites exist. I suggest picking a different topic.Overload wrote:I'm writing a persuasive paper on why I think marijuana should be legalized. Why did you bother to make this post?
To the OP; I haven't looked into this subject for a while, but have you looked at the most likely places like hightimes.com?

I just became an EMT and a speaker from poison control told us to check this site out. Its pretty cool and has a ton of info about all drugs actually, haven't looked into marijuana but I'm sure that you could find some useful stuff about it on there.

Re: I Need Reliable, Accurate Information
It's the website for the magazine of the same name. If nothing else, he might get some leads here. Also, if he finds something useful, they're going to have sources for their material; something he'll need for his paper.Overload wrote:Hightimes just seems like a news site.

Re: I Need Reliable, Accurate Information
you should try doing a quick search on digg or reddit there always seems to be alot of articles about legalizing posted there
Re: I Need Reliable, Accurate Information
I was actually trying to be helpful. hightimes.com isn't a very good source. I was kind of joking when I made my post, but kind of serious. Both the pro and con sites tend to have a ton of conflicting information and little regard to factual accuracy.Breetai wrote:Limewater wrote:On this issue, I'm not sure such sites exist. A more serious suggestion to the OP: If you really want to write on this topic, I suggest you try and track down some of the actual scientific and medical research that has been done. Actually read the research papers-- don't just read some journalist's interpretation of the papers, because journalists usually don't know what the heck they're talking about when it comes to discussing actual research. This is true on any topic-- reporters aren't competent to write about scientific articles.
