Yeah, it's fun talking about what version of what game sucked the most, and then playing that version.Hobie-wan wrote:Yes yes, but the relative amount of suckage matters!AwesomeMonstar wrote:Pit Fighter... why the hell are we talking about Pit Fighter? That game sucked on both systems.
Then we join message boards and praise it as the BEST version with disturbingly heartfelt threads that inevitably end up copypasta.
Re: Games better on Genesis than SNES?
I still enjoy playing PIT FIGHTER on the Genesis. It's not great by any means, but it reminds me of the movie KICKBOXER, so it serves its purpose.
That, and that awful attempt at a voice over of "You're next".

Re: Games better on Genesis than SNES?
Has anyone ever complied a complete list of port comparisons?
I have both my snes and genesis hooked up via s-vid and am trying to figure out what ports of what games to buy.
For example... I ended up bidding on and winning a SNES and Genesis version of the Death and Return of Superman.
So does anyone know of a list that exists? If not we should make one.

That's a good idea - how many games are on both platforms?SpaceBooger wrote:Has anyone ever complied a complete list of port comparisons?

Excel spreadsheet. Copy and paste entire Genesis Library in one column, Snes library in another column. Delete non duplicates.dsheinem wrote:That's a good idea - how many games are on both platforms?SpaceBooger wrote:Has anyone ever complied a complete list of port comparisons?

I'm not going to do it, but it should only take a few minutes to do.

They started this at Sega-16 a while ago but never really made a complete list. I'd be interested in seeing one myself.dsheinem wrote:That's a good idea - how many games are on both platforms?SpaceBooger wrote:Has anyone ever complied a complete list of port comparisons?

Here's the thread with some comparisons http://www.sega-16.com/forum/showthread ... ost-thread
Also I went through this entire thread and I don't think I saw Robocop vs. Termintor mentioned. For shame! That's a rocking Genesis game that wasn't nearly as rocking on the SNES. They're not quite the same exact game but they're closer than something like Aladdin which didn't even share developers.
Re: Games better on Genesis than SNES?
Thunder Force III(Gen) vs. Thunder Spirits (SNES).
I like both, but I prefer the sega.

Re: Games better on Genesis than SNES?
This is pretty helpful. I think if we had a master list and people contributed reviews to compare/contrast the versions it would be awesome.
