Saturn Models

Post by ff8123 »

hey guys, I'm new and looking to buy a saturn. I'm poking around ebay, and found some great deals, and wanted to ask some questions to some knowledgeable people.

Is a white Japanese saturn likely to be Model 2, and mod-chip friendly? How about a gray one? A black USA one?

Or is it completely unrelated?

I've decided I need to go with a mod-chip, because i want to play quite a few CD-R games since so many games are so hard to find nowadays. I already understand the deal with playing imports, and i know the mod chip doesn't allow me to play imports.

Color isn't a good indicator at all.
The only real way of determining it is to look inside.
I would ask the seller to take a peak inside and see how many pins the chip on the middle of the system board has. (32 or 64)
