Re: Afrika ps3
I heard it wasn't that good from reviews and other impressions unless you like National Geographic or are a photographer.

Re: Afrika ps3
I was really interested in it when they announced it long ago. I was waiting for them to say it was coming over because it sounded cool. I had understood it as something that would max out the ps3's hardware to recreate a stunning virtual Africa. I hadn't heard anything about it for a long time and I saw it in stores, so I ran to look up reviews. None of them are very positive. It suffers from all the problems I assumed it would focus on avoiding. Crappy textures, lame animations, and clipping. I still want to try it, I'm just kind of dissapointed by the reviews it got.
Re: Afrika ps3
I was really interested in this too. but never herd anything about it...wondered if you could suicide yourself getting too close to the animals
seems like I read something about a similar game but in an underwater setting looking for rare sea life ?

Ocelot, did it again...sorry Boss !
Re: Afrika ps3
I think in the reviews I read that you are always told where to go to find the animals you're supposed to take pictures of, and that the animals will always pose unnaturally for you. It made it sound like the game forgot the whole expedition and exploration part of the game.
Re: Afrika ps3
It's not quite as simple as it sounds, you are told which area you can find the animal in, but you do have to search for it yourself and setting up shots does require a bit of patience and stealth, especially if you need them to perform a specific action or encounter for the shot.(-_-) wrote:I think in the reviews I read that you are always told where to go to find the animals you're supposed to take pictures of, and that the animals will always pose unnaturally for you. Aquanaut's Holiday: Hidden Memories - personally I think it's much better than Afrika. You're an investigative journalist sent to a remote pacific island to search for a missing marine biologist - you use an underwater sub to explore and through finding clues, journal entries, new areas and discovering different species you gain experience which is used to level up your sub and unlock new features. The story isn't terribly exciting, but it serves as a motivation to explore the new areas and the game does generally look visually stunning with some great effects and good surround sound.nate wrote:seems like I read something about a similar game but in an underwater setting looking for rare sea life ?
