So I am about to make my first purchase from Gamestop since I stopped patronizing them over two years ago when I decided that their business practices were underhanded.

But I just can't say no to an autographed photo of Joe Kucan.

It's not that you're weak, it's just that GameStop has pulled out a secret weapon to get your money. GS has one for just about every customer. ...I'm next.

Son, I Am Disappoint.

Of course, I just got Fatal Frame 1-3 from there in perfect condition for much less than I could online...

Eh, not like Play 'N Trade is much better. Where I live, they flat out don't exist, and the ones I have been to tend to overcharge for a lot of things. Plus, they seemed to just have a lot of NES games, and then skip right to PS2 and current gen. Nothing in between.

Of course, this is just the PnTs I've been to in South Carolina. In North Carolina, they were actually pretty awesome. Nice selection of import titles, refurbed retro units and all kinda stuff.

What I really should do is return the GS copy and keep the Kucan picture and meanwhile use Amazon for the copy I'll actually play with. That way Gamestop doesn't get the sale and I continue my policy of not supporting them.

I guess it simply depends on which one you go to. They are all independently owned, as with Gheystop they are corporate owned/controlled. I'd much rather do the business with a local shop than a corporate slum.

But that preorder deal IS pretty sweet...
