Actually, from what I've seen, Bioware games are more accessible than Bethesda games. I still haven't mustered up the will to get through Oblivion yet, just didn't like the mechanics and found it harder to really get into than a good Bioware game. KOTOR is a great start and really doesn't require one to be a big Star Wars fan. Course, if you HATE Star Wars(and some people might after those prequels)maybe try Jade Empire. I want to say Mass Effect, but the combat can take a little getting used to, especially for a newbie.

The combat in ME took me forever to even understand.
I actually hated ME initially, then the combat system just sort of clicked with me and I realized how easy it actually is. Then I started loving it. An rpg that looked and felt like a shooter. Pretty cool

I went through the same initial irritation with the jeep, then learned how incredibly important using the zoom feature on it was. Oddly enough, it seems a lot of players never figured that out since the jeep sections are still a common compliant about the game.

Hmm, Oblivion was the easiest RPG for me to get into. I love the amount of freedom it has.
Also, the Mako has a zoom???
