And interestingly, the Super C (while still legit) has a different board and chips than the one missing its label I already had. My label-less one has Nintendo chips, and the one I got today has Konami chips.

I believe those were later cartridges (Circa 1990-1992) as Nintendo had begun to focus more on the SNES by that time and simply let trusted third parties print their own licensed carts..
My Consoles: Genesis - Nomad - SegaCD - GameGear - Sega Saturn - Dreamcast - NES - SNES - N64 - Gamecube - Wii - Playstation - PSone & LCD - PS2 - PS3 - Xbox - 3DS

Yeah, its just the first NES dupe I've had that was a different board altogether. I already knew about games with a round vs oval Seal of Quality, and of course carts in production long enough to have 5 and 3 screw varieties.

I know about the 5 screw/3 screw carts and their differences, but I didn't know that there was any difference between the round and oval seal carts.
My only third party cart is my copy of Batman: Return of The Joker which has Sunsoft branding on the board and case except for the 10-NES chip.
I've also noticed that when most games featured the publisher's name on the back instead of Nintendo's they usually have some form of expansion chop or memory controller most of (but not all) the time: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multi-Memo ... ller#FME-7
