And my clue was Commando arcade ground, Wolf as the game series is called 'Battlefield of the Wolf" in Japan, and the blue is the exact color from Super Joe's outfit in the arcade version, which used the same image for the arcade flyer as the NES cover. Also the text in the game uses a stenciled font, so I did as well.
