Post by rapoon »

There is a little tab that can be pressed, uptop by the cable leading out.

Anyone know what it's for??

You can then unplug the cable from the controller.

The guys at Sega wanted to use this as an expansion port. Nights 2 was supposed to have come packaged with a tilt sensor that plgged into the socket, and the cord would be attached to that.

Really?

I noticed that it's there but I thought there was never any conclusive evidence for it's purpose. Speaking of which, Nights 2 was planned for the Saturn?

How awesome would that be?

More awesome than Journey of Dreams, I'd venture.

Sega also had an idea for what would essentially be a Wii-mote half a decade before Nintendo had the idea:

Planned games for this Dreamcast peripheral included Monkey Ball (no "Super" in the title) and NiGHTS 2, or Air NiGHTS.
