I also always enjoyed the design on the Turtloids, and the Slicers as well.

I actually liked Shadow in SA2, he never should've had his own game though. If I had to pick a favorite it'd be big the cat, who can't love a giant purple cat.

I always thought Knuckles was awesome because he could climb and get into certain secret rooms.

Tails. He pretty much could do everything Sonic could do, plus he could fly. Why not play as Tails instead of Sonic?

Plus, Tails Adventure for the Game Gear was a blast. Possibly my favorite game for the Game Gear.

I always preferred Sonic...

Tails is cool in Sonic 2 because he controls basically the same, just with the added 'fly' capability... but that's kinda because that option was just tacked on. In later versions of Sonic tails had his speed and jump height scaled down (same goes with knuckles).

Oh but I can't leave out the SegaCD mecha sonic:



the most bad-ass version of the metal sonic out there... all other versions were these huge bulky behemoths... this guy was built for speed and mayhem. Oh yeah!

The race against him in Stardust Speedway is to me the most epic battle in Sonic history. The soundtrack, the race, it was pure awesomeness to me back in middle school!

I've always wanted to make a fan-sequel to Sonic CD with that version of Robotnik and SonicCD. Both always seemed more devious and dark then all other versions. Robotnik and his whole entorage just turned hokey as the series progressed, like, "am I really supposed to be afraid of this guy? Really???"

In Sonic CD though Robuttnik seemed so malevolent, even his ship was all sleak and shit.

In SA2 and more recently Robotnik kind of got his evil 'look' back, but still he sounds and acts like a complete dingus... ugh.

Yes this is a love fest for Sonic CD from me. My other love for the game was the soundtrack (both jap and US, I like the US one more actually)... ever since the soundtracks have gotten gayer and gayer (well the opening sequence song "Sonic Boom" is kind of gay, but the rest of the soundtrack is awesome).
