Hmm, I'm not using the default forum layout, but I've specifically been coloring them blue and making them bigger in my question posts. Odd.

They do appear blue when you mouse over them.

For what it's worth, I was also initially confused by this question, but only because the idea of making leather struck me as odd. Then I remembered that animal hides have to go through a tanning process to become leather and then I felt stupid.
